Dear All, Me & my hubby wanted to go to Kukke, Udupi & Daharmasthala tour. Can any one of you suggest some reliable/experience tour agency or an agent who can take us .(please guide if we are travelling by bus the travel options) We are planning for a trip from Bangalore for 3days. And if anyone hav travelled recently to these place kindly share your experience & tell me the places to see ard there and stay as well! Thanks in advance Sowmya Raman
Soumya, The route actually goes likes this or we have travelled this way. First dharmasthala, next kukke and then udupi. You get a lot of buses (KSRTC) from Majestic to Dharmasthala. Its a overnight journey. If you get in to the bus at 9:30 , you can reach there by 6:00 am. Take a room there, get ready go for darshan, Have food. Very close to the temple there is a bahubali temple also....you can visit them. Then take a bus from dharmasthala and reach kukke. Even here you can go for the darshan. Here after going to the subramanya temple. there is another temple called aadi subramanya...you have to visit that place as well. its at walkable distance from the main temple. You can stay at kukke and next day reach udupi....go Udupi krishna temple. There are beautiful beaches around udupi. you can visit them.
Thank you so much for quick reply. please let me know whether Kollur also we can go if we are planning to stay for one more day!
Sowmya: While Udupi, Dharmasthala and Kukke are close to each other, Kollur is away from them. However, you could still include it since it is within 100 kms from Udupi. Sindhu
Hey, my native is shimoga, anyway.. My suggestion would hire a cab.. You can cover lot of places here is the list and don't miss to carry camera 1. Dharmasthala 2. Horandu Annaporneshwari temple 3. Sigandhur - very powerful temple in sagra, you will enjoy the ferry ride. 4. Sringere 5. Udupi - Krishna temple and there is Durga parmeshwari moola temple in Katil it's very powerful don't miss 6. Koluru 7. I don't remember the name but one big shiva temple in mangalore If you are going then try to cover everything, it's often difficult to get time out to go to these places and you will be covering all Devi temple. Choyee
Yes I missed kuke.. If you see it practically going by bus, the trip is not in your control but u need to depend on the bus and it's very tiresome too.. You will be spending maximum 1 hour in temple so plan accordingly. We plan this trip often in my family. My brother drives and the view if too cool and green.
Hey Choyee Thanks dear....will go from Bangalore to Kukke and from there we are planning to take cab! please guide instead of going to kukke we have to first go to Dharamasthala??
Soumya, I have heard that first we should visit dharmastala as the Father is there (Lord Shiva) then to kukke as the son is there( Subramanya). You can go to dharmastala and from there hire a cab ..and go further... Choyee, The place where There is a big statue of Lord shiva is murudeshwara....
