    Hello everyone,
My baby is 1.5 years old, from the beginning, i am washing her hairs with johnson's no more tears shampoo (at an interval of 2-3 days), many people told me to use some herbal shampoos, i use to put olive oil mixed with rogan badam shirin everyday in her hairs, what should i do, as already she is having very less hairs.

I feel like it's too early to worry about this.Usually there will be good hair growth after first tonsure .Concentrate on the food with veggy ,fruits.I think this may solve the problem

My DD lost all her hair when she was about 4 months old. Her hair started growing back when she was about 6 months old. While my case is different, this is what I did:

Gave her oil bath once a week.
Used shampoo only once a week.
Applied coconut oil/castor oil (will be sticky) regularly.

Thanks Ramya, but I have no idea about oil bath, and what about the oil which is applied regularly, should it not be washed before applying next time

This is how I used to give oil bath (both head and body) to my DD:

I used gingely oil or coconut oil.
Apply coconut oil all over the head and body. Gently massage if dd allows it.
Use warm water for the bath.
After massage, pour warm water. Use green gram dal powder or pure besan (and turmeric powder - only for the body) as soap. If not available then use shampoo.
    Use warm water for rinsing.

Gently massaging the scalp with oil opens the pores.

Note: besan or green gram dhal may cause dryness. Do not use the turmeric powder used in cooking. This is different.

Giving oil bath regularly reduces the body heat.
LO's sleep well after taking oil bath.

Kasthuri Manjal does not cause allergies even in infants. You can start using it along with besan powder for everyday bath. Since TN is hot, you can use it everyday also.

@siddusahana @brb is right. I meant 'kasthuri manjal'. i use it alongwith payatha maavu (green gram dhal powder). I have been using it since LO was about 15 days old.
