    Hello Azraa ,
It is very simple - you just have to know in i inch how many stitches fits in [ as per pattern] . that is the way to find out a gauge. Then you can take the actual measurements of the child and fit into it.
    say 1 inch = 4-5
then multiply this with the chest measurements.
correspondingly increase the height of the sweater - ie. increase the length by 1 -2 inches before you start the arm hole decrease.
    Hope this will help you.

    Hi,
I'm a beginner in crocheting.I have difficulty in selecting the yarn. In chennai, i visited the raja stores to buy yarn and they gave me a skein for 10 rupees. I guess its acrylic. There's no brand name or the size of yarn or any instructions regarding the hooks to be used for the pearticular yarn. I'm confused!
I see a lot of chennaiates here who enjoy crocheting.
seniors in chennai Plz guide me!
Where do you buy the yarn in chennai?
How do you people select the yarn? Brand or any criteria ?
    Plz help!!!!!!!
