    Dear Nalini,
I am posting the idiyappam stand photos - one steel, one non-stick. I use them also to make idliwich.
They are available in Rathna Stores in Pondy Bazaar.
    Love,
    Chithra.

Recently I was on a KF flight to chennai to attend a funeral, onboard they had served a sweet called Jamun in Mango Firni. The firni was very tasty. I am unable to locate the same in the index . Can you help me out ?

    Dear Soundarya,
Please go through the links thread in my forum, under chappathis & puris. Go through the thread on Tips on chappathi making.
You will get a clear idea. You can follow that & completely omit the maida also.
    Thanks for your nice words.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Lalitha,
I have given apple phirni, caramel phirni in my desserts thread. Mango phirni is similar to apple phirni. Please do try it & adjust the consistency to your desired thickness.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Re: Idiappam Stand

    Dear Chitra Mam,

Thank you very much for the information. I am searching for the photo of Idiappam stand, but couldnt find it. Can you tell me in what thread have you posted it.
By the way, during the weekend made Aappam according to your recipe. It turned out so delicious, crispy on the outer ring, soft in the middle, with light brown colour, having the holes also. My aappam was never good like this and my husband appreciated me and all those goes to you. Atlast i made good aappams.

    Thanks
    nalini

    Dear Nalini,
I am sorry, I seem to have forgotten to attach the photo - I am doing it now !
aappa is very simple provided you do it the right way & havr a good pan where it will not stick. That is very important.
    Love,
    Chithra.
