I've got a list of queries

    Dear Chitra,

After seeing all those different idli recipes I'm tempted to ask if you've got some more recipes for idlis made from cereals?????? If so, (I'm sure you must be having more of them), could you pls post them toooo???
We'll have a loooooooooooooooong list of idlis then... & surprise ourselves & people around.

Aslo, I would like to have a list, kitchen list of groceries or a monthly list of groceries that we shd've in our kitchen soft board. I always miss out on things & make a double trip to nilgiris always. Pls help me save time.

I like to use more of wheat than rice everyday. I do make chappathis/puris, etc but would like some variation in that toooo. other than methi chappthis & theplas, could you suggest some mroe varieties of making chapathi & puris.

thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much in advance.

    L, Hs & Ks

    Doubt on freezing food.

    HI Mrs.Chithra,

While freezing food particularly like jeera rasam, after a week or so, the taste is good, but the texture is like THIPPI!!! Why it is happening??

Tried mor kuzhambu, but it was good. Even, after reheating, the rasam's texture stayed the same; but, tastewise, it was good.

Pls advise me and also suggest me what kind of rasams i can store for a week??

    Thanks.

Meena Madam, will surely oblige you !

This time, when I was in Madurai, Amma gave me some tips & ideas on cookery ( honestly, she is too good inspite of ill health & advanced age - I am no patch on her !).
I tried idlis with Lapsi, Ragi rava ( available under the brandname Raicon), kambu ( bajra) rav, very recently introduced by S V S . To my surprise, honestly, I should say, shock, all turned out superb. I will post one by one.
I alwas have a master list for monthly provisions etc, laminated for reference on the 1st of every month. I will post it in tips.
I make chappathi kadi with left over chappathis & 2 more varieties of puri.
    Done, My sweet friend !
    Love & rehards,
    Chithra.

    My dear Ami !

    All rasams will freeze well.
When using, do not remove the thelivu alone. Mix thoroughly & use. Thippi problem will be solved. There is no other reason.
    Love & regards,
    Chithra.
