Dear Chitra Mam and KB mam It is very nice to see a slogam which is very rare and new to us. No one can say the effort of Chitvish goes waste b'coz nobody is there for us to give such a nice and good slokas. So whatever she gives us will be of sure benefit to us. Thanks a ton to both of you. Dear all, This Aksharamana Maalai, is written by Ramanar himself on praise of Arunachala Hill which is always regarded as Lord Shiva himself. His disciples used to sing this while going on to get Biksha in Thiruvannamalai. Ramana and those who were with him ate the Biksha food when they were in the Skandasramam on the hill. We all went on Ramana Centenery yatra and followed the same route and same method in which Ramana started from Madurai and reached Tiruvannamalai, and all along except the time we slept, we chanted Aksharamana Malai and we never felt tiredness, we never had our feet hurt(some people travelled the entire route without footwear). It is one of the greatest works which have all the meanings for life and it is very easy to memorize too. Infact for both my kids their bed time song is Aksharamana maalai and daughter sings upto almost 80 verses without help and son upto 25. We have been devotees of Ramana for almost 4 generations. My grandpa's mother Smt. Lakshmi Ammal and Baghwan were playmates in Tiruchuzi where he was born and bought up before his family moved to Madurai.
