After her big interview Megan is being portrayed as "Cut ans Run" kind of person.

    Cut, Then Run

Would you say that you are Cut and Run kind a person?
Or do you stay and fight for the survival of the relationship in question (with friend/siblings/hair dresser/ cleaning lady/ play-date moms/...any other relationship you can think of)

Give is the reasons you are or you are not- a cut and run kinda person.

Do decide based on the relationship in question, eg siblings are not Cut and run
    But friends are ...

All talk show hosts are using this situation to their advantage. I guess, the role of Royals now is- being offered for public consumption.

But leaving the royal topic, what do you think, your personal style is. In case, differences arise- do you cut and run or keep on trying to mend

Cut and run is almost "burn the bridge" only passively aggressively- by giving silent treatment, by removing oneself from dynamics.

Which one of the style is better. Staying and negotiating or running after saturation.

What style applies to which relationship.

after marriage, the relationship is only with the husband.so one can stay and fight for that. but if the husband is an abuser, run
REST all relations(apart from kids) if turning toxic, cut and run. Mental peace is very important. its tough to live in a everyday crisis.
If what meghan says is true about the royals, her decision to cut and run was right.

True..I am also thinking that "thinking in terms of bandwidth is more important"
In younger years, friends are so so important...and then kids and family and life happens...then it is okay to be a "cut and run" person, before one returns to "more time" in old age

But I have also seen one very magnetic/successful friend of mine- she is not a cut and run... she stays and fights for the relationship- any kind...she has 500% support of her husband...but I am wondering if the husband is so good because she is she..
Is she so great because she is not cut and run?
She is a great example of not being a "cut and run"

Keep the posts coming.. give your insights.. there is no right or wrong..

With respect to friends, I have mostly seen cut and run friends.
Once they move to another state or India, friendship stops.
I have stopped making friends now

The aim is to be a "Measure Twice, Cut Once" but it ends up "Measure N Times, Cut Once".

The article and the first post here seem to assign a negative connotation to the cut-then-run approach. Other than immediate family or the people in one's current household, cut-then-run can work out for the best when the relationship becomes a burden. Extended discussion, analysis, repair efforts do not always help. It can hurt the one who is left wondering what happened or who knows what happened but doesn't get a chance to atone, but they will learn and move on.

Siblings are not cut-then-run? Why...? Maybe they are cut and keep nearby but not too close. : )

Good topic for discussion. Maybe you can request Cheeniya to move it to another section. Posts from "Interesting Shares" section do not show up under "Latest Replies" so some might miss it.
