A relative is not computer literate. He watches old movies on YouTUBE through AppleTV and Roku. There is no telling when Apple has a conflict with Google, and they pull out YouTUBE from their offering. Similar situation is happening now between Google and Roku. On top of that YouTUBE is having more and more commercials. 1. How to get YouTUBE without commercials. Doesn't mind paying few dollars a month, but COMMERCIAL-FREE! 2. Is there another streaming service where one can watch movies, serials from India, Pakistan? Doesn't mind paying few dollars a month, but COMMERCIAL-FREE! I can feel the frustration right now, grrrr!!!!
@abcd5 I wish to speak with someone in YouTUBE before I purchase this. My problem is, what if AppleTV and Roku pull YouTUBE at the same time. How would I watch YouTUBE on TV then. I'm looking for seamless solution. Chromecast is complicated where laptop has to be on, you plug something into laptop and then cast it onto screen. Correct me if I am wrong. I tried to reach a human at YouTUBE (866-836-3987) but every time I go through their large menu they say "due to precautions, staff is limited, please go online for support". Then the phone disconnects. This is quite frustrating.
Do you have both? 1. Take your TV remote and select input 2. Choose your input device, like HDMI 1 or HDMI2. 3. Install the YouTube App 4. Log into your YouTube account At a time you can only choose one type of input (Roku/apple Tv)
Oh yeah, I recently learned about HDMI inputs My relative just returned Apple TV HD 4K (HATES this newer version). He has Roku and so far, it still has YouTUBE. He was advised NOT to delete YouTUBE from Roku, else it won't appear because Roku and Google are having a conflict right now. In the meantime he ordered Firestick from Amazon as a backup (plus he saves a few $$$)
