The question at hand is, are the federal taxes mandatory in the US. This is about 20 to 25% based on how much you earn. Which means out of $100,000, $25,000 is taken away from you. Why did this come to be. Where does this money go? You might answer this question on whether the federal taxes are mandatory with of course not. The richest people from Jeff Bezoz to Bill Gates pay zero taxes. I am not talking about them. What about the rest. What do you think the average american will lose if these federal taxes were eliminated or brought close to 1%. Something to think about.
