Yeah me too Lavi. I need to be silent this year. But still this appraisal is for the last year's performance. So i would demand a good rating and hike.

Hi godschild Thanks for this acidity topic:biglaugh My company has got a simple statement "No appraisal".. Last year no one had appraisal I fought and atlast won:thumbsup True I got appraisal..But this year is recession for me.. We are on client side so this process is not so proper.. And moreover the appraisal varies from person to person depending upon the contract. I came to know "No appraisal" went and asked my PM "Sir,I dont need any appraisal but i definitely need the reason for it" He became red faced..Not knowing what to do...tried to convince me all the possible ways and at last he said "I will try my level best". Still no way..Poor girl..I am:hide:
That's sad Prettina. Somehow the whole appraisal system seems to be unfair :rant To the best of my knowledge i haven't come across anybody who's happy with their appraisals.

Dear Godschild, I am a appraisee as well as appraiser. It was a mixed reaction, I had a bad time convincing my subordinate who got a poor rating. It was escalated to the senior management who conducted a joint discussion and concluded my decision is right. As a appraisee, I did not got a bad rating. I got a good rating. But apparantely the hike was not good. I am told the same thing, you have a maxima for your level and you are already above that :-crazy
