Anyone applied for H4 extension in 2012?

    Hi ladies

    My I-94 is expiring next month and I applied for H4 extension more than 10days back thru attorney. I am yet to receive my Receipt number. Anyone applied for H4 extension in 2012, if yes pls let me know :

    1. How long it took to get the receipt number?
    2. When did you get the approval?

    Tried contacting the attorney.No response from them too.

    Generally , I heard it takes a week to get the receipt number.So kinda bit anxious as I haven't received it till now.

    Any info regarding this is appreciated.

    My spouse company's attorney applied for my H4 extension in regular on Apr 12.We received the receipt on Apr 17 and Approval on May 9th.

    Updating the thread so that it could be of help to someone looking for same info in future. I got my receipt number on May 17th and petition got approval yesterday(june 13).
