Anyboby seen Kaalbela or Antohin? Which are the best Bengali films of this season?

Hey IL girls! How are you all? Well, as for my part I am Sooooo happy, you know… its finally time to go home. Yes … I’ll be reaching Kolkata on Feb 11.:rotfl
The Valentines Day planning is going fine! I was also thinking to catch some good Bengali movies this time. I have gone through some reviews over the Net on recent Bengali movies like “Kaalbela” and “Antohin” but is not sure, which ones to watch … Plz. let me know which are the recent hit releases that you all are watching? I want to catch up the best halls and the best Bengali movies with my hubby.

Just tell me about the top 10 must watch of this season! Any Rituporno Ghosh releases?

Nice to hear that you are coming back to your city. Sorry dear, I haven’t watched any of these movies. My friends said that ‘Antohin’ dint turn out to be that good. So I am planning to watch ‘Kalbela’ this Valentine’s Day with him. More because I have read the book, now I would like to see how Gautam Ghose has put that on screen.
You should go for ‘Kalbela’ as well.

Dear Papiya, If you want to choose between ‘Kaalbela’ and ‘Antoheen’, then I would suggest you to go for ‘Kaalbela’. I really appreciate Gautam Ghose’s works so just couldn’t afford to miss his movies. Though I didn’t much like his last release Abaar Aranye but his Padma Nadir Majhi and Paar was excellent.:coffee

I have seen both; ‘Antoheen’ has some nice numbers. I tell you ‘Anuraron’ was a better watch. But if you want to see Sharmila and Aparna together, then go for ‘Antoheen’.

Hi everyone, I am finally back in my city of joy. So both of you are suggesting for ‘Kaalbela’, hmmmm... I think I will go for that one. But I will have to go for the other one as well since my hubby is an fan of Aparna Sen, he never misses her movies.
But aren’t any Rituparno releases coming this year?

Before you go to see anything else I think you and your husband should go for the ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, knowing the fact it has won awards both at Golden Globe and BAFTA and is all set for the Academy Awards, it is a film worth watching. I saw it last day and I am all spellbound by it.
Catch it in any of the multiplexes. And do share your feelings about the movie.
