Any Hams out there?

    Can you some one tell me what are the things I need to know/do inorder for me to become a Ham?

    I browsed and found out there are some exams we need to give inorder to become an amateur radio operator.Can someone guide me ?
    Didn't know if this is right forum I didn't find releveant forum hence posting here

    Though I haven't given the exam and not qualified as a Ham, I was the part of Ham club in our college. They used to take evening 1 hr class for students, thats how I came to know about this.

    I am not quite sure what the qualification exam is called, but ofcourse it is all did-did-dahs and dah-dah-did-dids ... :). I will ask some of my friends in E & TC branches (this branch was more encouraged to join the ham club) and try finding something for you.
