I switched to One Medical for primary care after my longtime PCP closed her practice last year. I am satisfied for basic primary care. I can get same day or next day appointments and I can also message them via their app or do telehealth. Sometimes I see the NP but that’s okay. They have the lab on site and they are very prompt with appointment times.
If they have a location in your area and if they take your insurance that might be something to look into.

Op, I am not here to scare you. Take it in a neutral way.
Dont neglect. Consult doctor. Dentists usually do screening. Thats why they suggested it.

If you consult dentist, they may do screening in detail including symptoms of oral cancer as any small things can lead to more. Its mostly out of pocket. I have done it just as routine check up.

As your PCP dont know what it is, I am not sure, but white coating and tongue pain can occur when there is candida over growth, that is gut related. In that case Nystatin is the medicine, oral mouthwash also available. Read more. I had this issue.

Change your brush, take b complex, mouthwash etc may relieve symptoms. Also, try steam bath everyday for your jaw pain. I add basil leaves to water. Drink ginger boiled water to reduce inflamation. I have done that too.

Google or ilites can't give a conclusive answer, better to consult a specialist and rule out any possibilities.

I can see the image, and it looks like a mole, but its better to check it evenif its harmless.

Thanks and I totally understand that you said.
I will check it out. It's a very very long wait for appointments though as I am a new patient to their offices.
Did you have anything like this?
Mine looks like herpes virus thing as per the Google images. I sent my picture to my friend who is a dental assistant in India and she said it looks like herpes virus thing. Yet to confirm with Dr in person.
I am not sure if this is true without confirming with biopsy.

Is drinking ginger water reduced your inflammation? I have to reduce my inflammation. My inflammation blood work CRP has been high since 2021. I had recent blood check last week to check inflammation as I do this blood work every 3 months. It's still high though. Don't know why it's not reducing till now.

I dont have your condition. As I mentioned white patches can occur if there is gut issue, ulcers, candida over growth etc..

I dont understand why you think your jaw pain is related to dental issue ? It can be due to many other issues. I had similar issue when my health was weak. If its related to sinus or similar to mine, then steam bath every night to face and drinking ginger water helps . Sometimes I had pain around ear when the above conditions occured . It helped me. When my overall health improved, frequency of these events reduced.

If it was dental issue, all these procedures should have fixed it .. Explore more and do research. Can it be nerve related.

CRP can be high due to inflammation in any part of your body for example, it can be due to IBD( my case) , RA, or similar.. You need to figure out what exactly is causing that. Only then it can be reduced. Do a full body check up.

    Thanks for the response.
Yeah I don't know about this white thing on tongue yet. Waiting to see the dentist. Meanwhile trying to book an appointment with an oral surgeon too.
Regarding my jaw pain, it's on my lower jaw near the ear lobe area eggers the mandible jaw line ends. I have this for 3 years now.
I have seen so many specialists for this and no relief yet. Have seen ENT, Neurologist, neurosurgeon, TMJ specialist, TMJ surgeon, oral max surgeon, periodontist, Endodontist, physical therapist , rheumatologist etc. Totally tired and frustrated with these appointments.

Neuro said it doesn't look like neuralgia and sent me back to jaw Dr.
I do full check up every year with my GP. He did routine blood work as usual and shared this CRP blood work in Dec 2021 to check my inflammation as I was complaining about my pain for a long time then.
It came out high and he sent me to rheumatologist to investigate further. So I am selling the rheumatologist since then. And repeating blood work every 3-4 months for CRP and few other things along with vit D.

It's been high since then and rheumo doesn't have an answer why it's high. It was elevated more few months ago and my recent work( last week) , it came down but still on high range only.
My rheumatologist did other blood work to check for auto immune disease, Ra,lupus etc.
He couldn't come to a conclusion for my pain. So he is trying different medicines to control my symptoms and I am taking nerve medicines to see if it helps. He tried several medicines so far and didn't help. It's like, for the nerve medicines to work, we have to try for a while to see changes. So tried few medicines and currently on a new one. Hoping atleast this will help.

I gained lots of weight gain that medicines which is known side effect and he really wanted me to reduce weight. Trying hard to reduce it.
I was in the overweight range before this pain and medication started. But now I have gained lots of weight only after taking a nerve medicine and drastically increased. But Dr said if it's control my symptoms,I shouldn't be worrying about my weight. But it didn't help though.
I am taking turmeric supplements for this inflammation control. Also, reducing sugar and carb. I know all these add up to inflammation.

Do you have jaw pain? You have it in the jaw joint or sinus pain? I have sinus issues and ENT was the first one whom I saw when I had this jaw pain. Because I thought it's from the sinus issue. He did nasal endoscopy and CT scan. And referred me back to oral surgeon to check the jaw.

It's so like running in circles when they don't have an answer.
Right now,I am trying as much as to reduce weight and inflammation.

With this weight gain, I got diabetes values in the recent blood work which was always normal in the past years. Never been pre diabetic too. Now it's 6.5% . So Dr put me on metformin.
I hear regret that medication gives me all these additional issues.
I never tried ginger water. Have taken jeera water for stomach relief. Will try ginger water for a while and see if it gets better. thanks for this tip.

Try steam bath (hope you know) to face and head and see if it give any relief. My whole face plus gum, I dont know from where had this heavy feeling and pain. This occured when my health was weak. You may need MRI to figure out if sinus is an issue, if current tests are not conclusive. My ear, back of it, near lower law, hurt a lot, but steam bath helped me.
I suggest you to have omega3 in addition to vit D, b12 etc. Omega 3 helps with inflammation. I. Take cod liver oil capsules. Our issues can be different. Still try and see how it goes.

I think you have some underlying issue going on and it causes all these problems. Hope you find an answer soon.. Make sure you are getting enough neutrients and good sleep.

When you say Steam bath, do you mean steam inhalation?
I have had CT scan to check for sinus.
I have had MRI and CT of jaw and neck.

Just started cod liver oil along with my vitamin d. Never tried Omega 3 with this. Will try that.

Yeah yet to find out the root cause of the problem. I am so deficient on vit D since 2017 that was the first time I tested that though. It's still low even after taking prescription strength medicines for this. No changes in D values yet. Still under 30 only which is low and Dr said I should get it up to 60-70.

May be omega 3 and cod liver oil help in D ?

I have mentioned above facial steam bath/ its not inhalation alone. See image.
Cod liver oil contains omega3, vit D and A. It helped me a lot. Take vit D3 along with it. Both may help. Looks like your gut has issues preventing absorbtion of D.
