    Now how many of you knew about this ? I had no idea whatsoever about it until my boss told me about it ...

    We are celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary tomorrow...and it symbolises leather ..thought of gifting dh a leather wallet and something else that is also made from leather:)... how's that?

    Hi Fiona,
    I have come across this list before, in fact long before I got married! But we do not give gifts like that... may be next time I ll try it. Hoep it brings some good luck. By the way, what are the reasons for these materials for every year? Do they bear any significance?

    Leather gifts - a warm leather coat with fur (really expensive idea!), nice pair of shoes, of course wallet, belt also is leather. and may be a leather bag or laptop case... that is all I can think of in leather!

    hey that really sounds intresting
    never heard of it before
    usually when i plan to gift will make sure its something he really wants or could make him happy but never thought beyond it

    Dear moderator,

    I did check before posting this and found nothing as such ..this one is a year by year guide for wedding aniiversaries...
    But if you want you can merge it with the other thread ..do what you think is right .

    Moderator : No Fiona.. It is alright. I just added those links so that it can all be in one sinlge thread.. There are anniversary related threads every other time. Once it is in one single thread..members can go through that instead of starting a new ones. That is all. Dont worry, there is no trouble at all :)

    Hi, we recently celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary on 22nd of this month and my husband kept telling everyone that it was our "SILK WA" and now I understand why after going through this link.

    what can i do for my 2nd wedding anniversary?

    Hi frenz,

    last year, in my first wedding anniversary, i was just back from hospital after my second miscarriage!!!
    so, we dint realize it,although we remembered that date..
    now its just coming on jan 27th... and i want to make it really special...
    As my DH supported me these two years unconditionally...
    so, Please pour your suggestion as i have only 19 days and no idea...
    please, let me know good places in Chennai for dinning out too...
    or going out of station is a better option?
    suggest me...

    sorry to hear what happened last time
    good to know your dh has supported you in rough times and deserves a best anniversary
    if you have ample time then plan for some holiday i guess ooty is nearby(sry i know its near to TN)
    or may be you can go to some temple in morning and meet some relatives or family have lunch and plan for a nice movie(3 idiots is good if you watch hindi movies) and plan for a dinner in nice resturant if possible a candle light dinner....else if you want you can go to soem orphanage or old age home nearby and share with them your happiness and lunch for that day..have fun

    how r u doing????
    i need a suggestion from you all.Next month is my first wedding anniversary.i am planning to present a surprise gift for him.please help me in this regard,suggest me something innovatively and less expensive

    Inexpensive Suggestions:
    • Present him with a handmade card that has pictures from the year that you have been with him
    • Cook his favourite dishes for dinner and have a romantic evening.
    • Give him coupons that he can cash any time .It can have things like-"You get a night with the boys";"You get to watch a movie of your choice and I will go along";etc etc...it can have anything that he likes but gets to do less after marriage or maybe naughty too :thumbsup.
