Hi, Anybody watched ANGAADI THERU movie? It is from the director of the nice movie VEYIL! I saw the review that it is the story of people who live in a bazaar (market). Songs are melodious. Can anyone provide online link?
I saw this movie today. It is a very simple but an intense movie. The sad part is it is semi-tragic. Padam konjam realistic maadri teriyarthu. Maybe this is how the big shops in Chennai treat the young boys and girls that come from down south. We cannot easily relate this movie because its social-cultural background is completely different. BTW I have an oxymoron id I can't wait. Removed the spoiler.
Oh gosh....dear Can Wait - you should have waited...now you broke the suspense.:rant. I wanted to see tomorrow:coffee
CW Even I planned to watch this movie this week and now :-( can you please edit your post to remove the spoiler..
CanWait, it seems director did some research for few months about the boys and girls working in big shops in T-nagar, Chennai and the story is based on their life. Even I am waiting to watch that movie. Review is good.
I have watched the movie.... liked it.... but i wonder why the hero of the film is not coming for the publicity shows..... The acting is realistic and we can relate to the incidents.... watchable with family....
Hi I watched the movie this weekend and was moved to tears during some parts. Although the subject is very intense and heavy, the director has adeptly woven the story in such a way that there is comedy and romance intertwined all along which makes the narration gripping. Usually tragic movies drag and there will be too much pathos, this one is good on that account. I would really suggest that all see, so that we know the lives of sales boys and girls working in Saravana stores or Kumaran stores.
yeah I saw that movie. my DH watched for 10 mins and he just couldnt digest .. first scene itself is tragedy right.. I watched it alone and it totally makes sense. especially saravana stores and pothys is horrible to the highest. I've visibly seen salesmen waiting for me to pick my saree so that they can hurry up for lunch . And the way they bribe policemen into this is heart-wrenching. I'd dedicate this movie to all the Platform shop survivors of Ranganathan st. Spoiler alert : I really LOL'd at one scene where one guy will pick up old dirty shirts & t-shirts, wash them and neatly iron and package it in plastic cover and sell it for Rs.10 per t-shirt. omg.. it was highly hilarious.
