What is happening today to Indians in Australia is really bad and is causing the affected families deep wounds that may take a very long time to heal.

An year ago our little brother flew
    To the land of kangaroo
To learn and explore new avenue

O we all felt so nice
For he was bright and wise
And filled with vigor and drive

For days he missed us all
    Feeling homesick on every recall
He buzzed to know matters big and small

    He soon settled down
    In this Australian Oz town
    Amid friends who were known

    He studied day and night
For his exams were next fortnight
He was confident of climbing greater height

He called up early that day
    As it was his birthday
O how we missed him in everyway

We promised to cut the cake
    That mother loved to bake
    That evening at our place

    Little did we know
That at same time he was getting a blow
Just because his race was considered low

    As Anil bled and lay
    In a deserted walkway
He knew he was passing away

    Who can now console
    This families cries and howl
As they miss him with all their soul

Gandhiji fought against Racism more than a hundred years ago. Although the world today boasts of becoming a smaller place, with people from different ethnic and economical background interacting and coming together …the mindset of many is still covered with smog of prejudice and bias. Alas !

    Racism! Why did you surface
To show your dirty dark face
Isn’t it so wrong and a big disgrace
To hate another country or race
Whether it is black or white face
    Isnt equality and interracial embrace
What's required today in every place

LET LOVE AND WISDOM PREVAIL. PRAY GOD.

Anil's fate is heart rending. So too the cases being reported everyday now. How utterly beastly that today, when the world has shrunk into a global village and there is so much interaction between all nationalities, some ppl. still think a darker shade of skin tone is Inferior ! And what gives them the right to judge and to decide that a darkerskinned person is not fit to live ! The barbarians ! Blood boils !
I know some families who have sent their children there and share their daily terror.

    Hi Tubelight,

[FONT=&quot]Earlier the Australian government officials came out saying there was no racism in this and it happened in every major city in the world..be it Melbourne or Mumbai. On the contrary I know that in Mumbai foreigners get treated with more respect than our own guys. Now the Australians themselves are agreeing that there is a racist twist to it.

Very nice sharing!! I feel that apart from racism, many ppl all over world envy of our brilliant youngsters that their jobs are being grabed by them and they took advantage of our avoiding violence. Regards, Janani Natarajan
