Acupuncture for infertility

Hi Glimmer, how are you doing?

I did acupuncture for 3 months , I had relief in PMS symptoms & was feeling good generally, but no success in TTC so I stopped taking few months back & didn't take in IUI cycle, in fact I stopped all supplements except folic acid. I am thinking whether to re-start acupuncture

Any experiences with acupuncture in India?

I went back to my tcm doctor last week after my miscarriage earlier this year. Because l felt after my mc my periods are relatively haywire. Then the doctor said l have to recover and heal first for the next 2 months and then can continue trying again. So l have re-embarked on this journey again.

How after do you do acupuncture in a month? Mine is usually twice a month but l have herbs to take every day. Morning and Evening. Does your acupuncturist gives you herbs to take as well?

No herbs for me, they did daily for 1week then twice a week. Isn't this sounding too much? That's why I stopped it as I doubted whether they are doing it correctly here in India. I have heard max they do once a week other places.

No l dont know know if that's the right way. My tcm doctor didnt start acupuncture on my instantly. I have to plot my BBT daily and the drink herbs then she monitor my ovulation then after 2 months only she started acupuncture for me. For the first month l did acupuncture only once in that month. Subsequently the second month l did twice and that was the month l conceived but sadly ended in a mc.
Do you remember where does he/she put in the needles? For me its on my head, my tummy, legs and wrist part near the thumb.

I remember. He put on 4 on legs, 6 on tummy,1 on wrist, 1 near thumb & 1 near elbow. He did for a week continuously then twice a week. Even after ovulation same points. as far as i know there is no TCM specialist actually in India they are all acupuncturist, they know nothing about herbs.

I cannot remember how many needles exactly. But l can remember its 1 needle on the middle of my head. I remember this very very well. After putting in all the needles she will place like a hot lamp on my stomach.
I don't know what is that for though.

I got needles for 20 minutes.
Also do you remember herbs names?
Is Vitex chaste berry & ginseng one of them
I read fertility cure by randine Lewis..it's about TCM very nice book, but I got disappointed by the acupuncturists here

Yes it's around 20 to 30 minutes. It's a mixture of herbs. I don't know what they're also. The assistant will mix various types of powder and it'll be divided into different sachets for me for consumption for one week.

 

My periods are random ( have always been) unless I am on BCP- which was for years. I quit the pills 8 months ago. 4 normal cycles and then no period.Provera induced one period and again none. The doctor prescribed provera again. I dint take it yet. Pretty soon the Ob-Gyn is going to put me on clomid. I want to get help from acupunture before that to see if it will help. I am sick and tired of pumpimg all the harmones into my body.
I want to do things naturally if I can. Will keep you all updated.
I am here looking for some support.
