Re: An Article about Periava in Sakthi vikatan Many thanks to KB for posting the anecdote involving MahaPeriva( this is a proof that He was a Nadamadum Deivam ) and to Vidya for posting an aptly relevant incident and another incident involving Dr. Swaminathan. Thanks is not an adequate word to express gratitude Vidya and KB. I find the last sentence very inspiring and felt like the message was just for me - (c) such teaching can be retained in one's memory only if imparted at the formative age I just came across another article in Frontline yesterday about feeding the poor. I am sure N.Krishnan will have the complete blessings of MahaPeriva. C, this is happening in Madurai...! Caring caterer -Gayathri.
Re: An Article about Periava in Sakthi vikatan Dear Gayathri, I thank you for posting the write up about Krishnan. we know him well & have been contributing to him regualarly. My daughter went to see the place where ho cooks & said it is one of the neatest places where food s cooked. Krishnan's service is highly commendable. Recently an I L ite had asked me a reference for poor feeding & i had sent Akshaya address. He deserves to be greatly applauded for his service. Love, Chithra.
Re: An Article about Periava in Sakthi vikatan Dear Chithra/Gayathri I have read about Krishnan in Hindu way back in 2004 and that is one of the article which moved me so much for days. Till date I remember the article. That article was so much moving. Following is the link of the article which came in Hindu some of you must have read it already. The Hindu : Caring for the uncared regards vidhi
Re: An Article about Periava in Sakthi vikatan Dear Chithra, Can you tell me how I can contribute my might to Krishnan and Akshaya when I come to India.
Re: An Article about Periava in Sakthi vikatan Dear Chitra, I am sending you the details by P M. Love, Chithra.
Re: An Article about Periava in Sakthi vikatan A very moving article Vidhi... I had to try very hard to read it with a sober face with people around me. The first paragraph shook me making a mockery of our lives. I was pondering on Bharathi's 'Thani oruvannukku Unavillaienil Jagathinai azhithidivom' while reading that. And their policy of not feeding able-bodies only increases my respect for the person and the trust. And after learning the significance of the word Akshayam - I hope, pray and wish the Akshaya trust grows, prospers and help needy multi-fold. I am sure Krishnan is like the Kumaresan Chettiyar and Sivakami aachi Periva fondly recollected and whose principle of anna dhanam Periva strongly recommended. -Gayathri.
Re: An Article about Periava in Sakthi vikatan Thanks to Gayathri and Vidhi for bringing the noble act to our notice. The article about Krishnan and Akshaya moved me to tears. I feel ashamed that I crib about small small insignificant things, while this man is literally moving mountains despite all odds. ChitVish, could you please PM me the details of Krishnan and Akshaya trust? Thanks, Vidya
