Check out “Irugapatru” on Netflix https://www.netflix.com/title/81600221?s=i&trkid=14170035 It is about couples and their problems and how to solve. Such a beautiful and eye opening movie for all couples. Please do not worry about the language. It has subtitles. One of the best movies in recent times..
I had read about this movie on somewhere and watched it. True, it a very good movie and must watch by all couples. I hope this movie brings a realization in those people who constitently find faults in their partner and took them for granted. The movie is available in native languages also based on our preferences.
I watched this movie yesterday after my dad watched and recommended it highly. I loved the fresh prespective and plot of this movie. Instead of a usual love story, masala or thriller it focused on very realistic issues faced in today's stressful world by couples. Definitely a good watch
I chose this movie over Sukhee (Shilpa Shetty movie) last night because of the recommendations here. : ) Nice different kind of movie and all the characters look realistic, believable. The most unusual and interesting part was the nature of the problem between the psychologist and her husband. A very simple, modern problem yet very important, nice dialogs between the couple when this problem is discussed and thrashed out. Overall, refreshing and encouraging to see couples seeking counseling rather than elders intervening. What I found very odd however was the counseling that the psychologist gave to the couples. In their sessions, she often spoke as much or more than the patient. Instead of asking short questions to guide the conversation, she listened a little bit and then gave them long 100% confident explanation for their behavior, their issues, and long theories, and exact strategies to try -- much like opening a drawer, and dispensing an OTC medication for a patient's physical symptoms. They nodded and literally said "yes, ma'am." Maybe, this is how counseling works in Indian setting. It is more a collaborative effort in the U.S. This was the only off-putting aspect in the movie for me. But, the uniqueness of the psychologist's marital issue made up for it.
They have made counseling a normal thing to do which is commendable. This movie is a theraphy actually and helps the audience see more clarity in personal life. Kudos to the director.
