How could a cup of coffee taste the same at the same place after 2 decades?? definitely the charm lies with the company and the companionship.. Reminiscing over it.....:cheers Every year with you has been a ride, Some days holding on to my racing heart, And other days wishing for more spice, The thrill of the ride never diminishes, Because of you, Every milestone, has been a achievement, With you standing on the sides Cheering the loudest, your pride to be heard, Instilling a little more confidence in me, possible, Because of you. Every argument has been a revelation, How far I have come as a person, How far we have come as partners, The experiences happened, Because of you. I thought we cannot promise each other A life of sunshine, but life has been bright, Dazzling, piercing and at times, soothing too, Teaching us appreciating the darkness with a little more respect. Traversing both became easy, Because of you. I thought life is not going to be a piece of cake, Little did I realize, that we had so many thorns, That we had our time sealed healing each other’s wounds, Learning to be more compassionate happened Because of you. Does love grow as we age, I learnt it did, better than when we met, it was more like the rising tide with the waning moon, I learnt loving people did not hurt, it was a choice made by me, Because of you. I am happy, you held my hand, chased the sorrows, The fears, when the ripples caused disturbances, In the lake of life. As I stand watching the ripples on the lake, adding more beauty reflecting the bright rays of the moon, the ripples hold a calmness beneath, to be cherished with an inner understanding, Because of you. The beauty around me is always on a roll, Changing with every season and reason, every change holds a special place, for there is a new meaning, to everything around me, Because of you. P.S. A friend of mine commented that i have got lost in the world of weight loss and philosophy. this is to show her that i am always a romantic at heart..well does this feel romantic is something i dare not question:hide:
"Does love grow as we age, I learnt it did, better than when we met, it was more like the rising tide with the waning moon, I learnt loving people did not hurt" To me, thats the crux Shanvy. Very nice to read. Congratulations. -rgs
Such a cute poem Shanvy... each stanza has its own charm... and conveyed very well that love grows as we grow with each other.. Loved the thought.. and a big yes...
Actually, the crux of this poem's message is in the last sentence of every stanza. Are we giving enough credit to our life partner? Whether it is pleasure or pain, do we believe that we are 50:50 partners? When our child succeeds, do we share the credit equally between the two? When we face a crisis, do we show our finger and blame our spouse? Do we really believe that both have a say on any decision relating to the family? when one is hurting whether other's heart is melting? when one accomplishes something, whether other's heart is smiling? The body and mind could be separate but the souls should be united. The thoughts and words could be separate but actions should be united. They have to cut the diamond (the family) from various angles but there should be one facade of the diamond through which the brilliance of the diamond should be visible. Viswa
Dear Shan, Thanks for the Coffee.... who cares about the taste.... It is, with whom we have the coffee counts.... But it was really good... Had a nice time.... The roller coaster was too good... Never realised 2 decades has passed... Still it looks so fresh.... and so near.... Thanks... Veda
