Photos of mitham reminded me of my ancestors home close to Nagapattinam. The concept of light and rainwater harvesting was well established in those days. The science behind such architecture and their importance to individual and society were not well communicated to next generation. The reason could be they had a lot to focus during those times such as freedom struggle, caste system, drought & famines etc.

I will try to get one "forever spin" to keep my memories evergreen. But boss, how to do all these gimmicks with this nextgen design?:wink:
The difference will be similar to homemade vs ready to eat samosa. No offense.

    Chinese/Eastern version

Think of it as a different game.
The way I was raised, 'homemade' was 'ready to eat'.:wink1: Unless you are unusual, I'm guessing it's the same for you. I doubt that you have ever (home)made a samosa in your life, most definitely not in your bambaram days!

3 idiots reminded me of another old architecture of #Waterharvesting - Baoli or Baori.

Ok, boss- menu changed from samosa to puliyodharai and I ate that lot in my bambaram days. Now the comparison is 100% authentic.:wink1:

In one of the neurite puzzles, we landed at stepwells, Tarsem Singh, Chand Baori and somewhere yo yo honey singh also featured in that puzzle. More here.

My intro to stepwells happened there, your input kindled that memory.

Not sure how I ended up here . I started at Polaroids for kids and landed at - You’ll want to keep an eye on these 10 breakthrough technologies this year
Some awesome list it is . I read my eyes out and now my head hurts from information overload or I might just be excited with all this amazing research going on . Wish teleportation was one on the list . Wish I could watch these amazing geniuses work .
Things that blew EH’s mind more than others from the list
Artificial Embryos : Artificial human embryos are coming, and no one knows how to handle them

Babel Fish : @Iravati woohoo !! Now if only we knew if invisible martians spoke earthly languages. Or wait !! What if like like the robot on Lost in Space they understood us without having to use Babel fish !! Google Pixel Buds - Bluetooth Earbuds for Pixel 2 - Google Store
