    Hi ladies,

As per the actual calculation from my LMP, I finished 7 weeks. We went for a scan - I had an abdominal scan (not transvaginal). The doctor said from the scan it looks like I have perhaps completed only 5 weeks as I have very irregular periods and ovulation and implantation may have taken place later than we thought. (The foetal pole was also not found. Am not sure if the Ultrasounds can date the baby very accurately.)

It is possibly true. Both my radiologist and gynaec said everything seems normal and it is too early to worry. Do you know anyone who has had the same case?

I will be going for a scan in 1-2 more weeks again. My HPT came darker this week and I feel nauseated too (not sure if i am imagining it, but i do throw up on some mornings). Friends, please pray for me and my husband. Your prayers and good wishes matter a lot to me..

    Love,
    Fiona

Oh Fiona.. Five weeks is very very early for heartbeat.. even if they did vaginal scan they cant see or hear HB... Its takes 8 weeks to get the HB...Between 5-8 weeks they always check blood to see if your HCG is doubling every 48 hrs.. Next time when you go I suggest you insist your doc does vaginal and not abdominal.. Abdominal is effective only after 12 weeks...

My OB wouldn't even see me before 8 weeks. 5 weeks is quite early for a heartbeat. Morning sickness symptoms can start as early as 5 weeks, so you seem to be on the right track. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

My OB didnt refer me for an ultra sound until I finished 7 weeks, for this very reason. Dont worry.
