Hi everyone, my son is 2 years 2 months old now and will be 2.5 in june. I am planning to send him to school and am confused whether to put him in play school or prekg. He is just learning to talk and can't speak much. That is a third person cannot understand him without me translating. Few of my friends' kids have joined prekg the same age and are performing quite well. But many are telling methat its better to put him in play school as it may affect his future performance. Anybody had the same problem? Any ideas please!!
Some children simply catch up later. Have a talk with the Paediatrician and see what he says. If any intervention is required go for it. Otherwise, simply admit him to whatever suits you. In the company of friends, they easily pick up to talk. If there is no major issue, the child will easily cope and future performance issues won't be there. Relax.
late talkers have turned great performers like winston Churchill maths wizard Ramanujam and great musical prodigies. Do not go for free diagnosis which might turnout expensive . Keep talking to him. Expose him to talkative child. Play audio rhymes as often as you can and sing along kherokay. All the best. Regards.
