    Dear C,

FB after a long time. Tried Dill dhal, it was superb. I had to eat this when I was BFing my son, heard it is good for lactation. I never liked it. But this dhal is very good. Made Jain paneer pulao. Was simple and tasty with minimum ingredients.

My neighbour asked for sambar(she had an operation recently), I made capsicum araichu vitta sambar, they were all in praises for it. All credit goes to you. Thank You.

    Love,
    Priya

Yes, Priya - dill is good for lactation. But, a taste has to be developed for this greens.
Good that you got a pat on your back for sambar from neighbours!! Such gestures are the 'feel-good' factors in our daily life!
    Thanks & love,
    Chithra.

II type, but I class in taste!!

    HI Mrs.Chithra,

    Hope you are doing good.

Today, for our lunch, made channa batura and batura is from the second version(using curd). From the first varieties, have already tried everything except for the corn flour mixture. It came out really awesome both color & taste. My daughter was just jumping up and down as this is her first time after realizing our Indian tiffins varieties clearly. Good thing that I kneaded extra cup of dough than our regular rotis as all got vanished like a magic. Thanks to its pair, channa gravy!!!

    Bye.

p.s.: Mrs.Chithra, just becoz of the holidays, amma had sent us again thirattipal(from the scratch), small qty of athirasam & thenkuzhal thro express mail. We are all enjoying them and dont have any thing to make here. She has been making our life easier even from there just like all time, is this called MOTHERHOOD?? It came just on Christmas Eve where the vacation too has started!!

dear Rama, I guessed you were busy with the Xmas hols of children.
bhatura is one of our best 'borrows' from N I cuisine!
Do try with makai ka atta version. That gives a different crispness.
We, the previous generation TN ammas can never change!! We believe in trying out from scratch - here, it is not so difficult, with leisure at our disposal!
Long live all ammas, the world over! Motherhood is unparalleled, for sure.
    Love,
    Chithra

Aarthi, your first line surprised me no extent!!
There is a school of saying that this is 'manapparai murukku' - the famous snack.
I do hope the deep fryer comes to India also!!
So, do I await AC feedback??:idea
    Love,
    Chithra.
