Our swami sankaracharya says attaining moksha means escaping the birth rebirth cycle thats so true cos wats the point in having a rebirth cos we obviously dont remember anything from a past life so if its there or not wat difference it makes to us as a person

In the book 'An Autobiography of a Yogi' by Paramhamsa Yogananda, the astral life very nicely depicted.

Approx. 686 Earth days is the revolution period of Mars. While 365 days is the revoution period of the Earth. Similarly 88 Earth days is the revolution period of Mercury.
When it is nearly 3 months on the Earth, its already one year on Mercury and nearly one and half months on Mars.

In the same manner, as per our scriptures. one year in a human life is equal to one day in the astral life. So, every year on the same tithi people perform death anniversaries for their forefathers and offer food to them. And it is like offering food daily to forefathers.

    Apologies in case of mistakes.
