How To Oil Your Hair Properly

One of the key ingredients of beautiful hair is moisture. It's impossible to have silky, shiny tresses, if they are dehydrated and lacking proper moisture.

So when we want to oil our hair..

It is better to heat the oil first.. then put the hair apart and then apply on the head..

It is not necessary that to put oil on all the hair....
then Lightly comb the hair..

How do you all do it?

I rub the oil in my hands and then smooth over my hairs from top to ends.

I use coconut oil either laced with Thulasi leaves or pacchai karpooram.

I don`t heat it everytime i oil my hair.
The scalp should absorb the oil,that is a must.
So,a massage will make all the difference here.
A massage after applying oil to the hair is a must.

I use olive oil for my hair... well if anyone wants to use olive oil then just know what it does..

You know selecting the right oil for hair massage is the prime factor..

Once you get to know the right oil for your hair then it works wonder...

just like olive oil [SIZE=-1]helps to reduce stress and promotes the idea of healthy hair by providing elasticity to your hair.[/SIZE]

Dear Ladies,
I have a question, How do you heat the oil? I tried putting it in the microwave and then it all spluttered every where, so im confused.

To heat oil:

heat water till almost boiling point in a vessel.
turn off the stove/remove from microwave and place it on a table.
take oil and pour it in a small container which will fit inside this big vessel which has water.
in 3 mins or so ur oil would be hot enough for applying on ur hair.
hope this helps. let me know if there is something that is not clearly written.

i read this method in some website and since then i use this for heating oil.

Hello Pink.Rubies, The place where I stay has so much pollution that I need to wash my hair twice in a week. I do it by oiling my hair overnite.. giving a steam to it in the morning then washing it with shampoo..

But i would suggest use a mild shampoo and wash the hair twice like you do.. It wont let the dust accumulate in it..
