Please wait for 14 days after IUI to take HPT test. I know it is very difficult, but it will give unnecessary tension if you do the test before that. My RE had instructed me strictly to do HPT test only 14-15 days after IUI. This is because if you had HCG injection before your IUI, it would cause false positive when you do HPT test sooner than 14 days.

Regarding oral progesterone, it will mostly not impact your period date. For some, it delays the onset of period. If you do not get your period 16 days after IUI, please do a blood test to confirm pregnancy. If it comes back negative (which I surely hope should not happen to you), the doctor may ask you to stop the progesterone tablets. This is what my nurse had told me about the progesterone tablets.

Yeah. I see that. GYN's are too fast. They are running and we need to run behind to clarify our doubts. I hate to do that part. Because me and DH has lots to ask them too. Since this is my 1st pregnancy and that too in USA we are always worried about GYN speed very much. Since they told us that everything looking normal we are not much worried about their speed these days.

 

Now even i will be behind these gynecs again. Even i have so many questions since its first time for me too. I call up nurse with all silly questions i feel but they are important to me
I see that ur first trimester is almost going to end. So u shd start feeling better soon.

thanks Padma for your words of encouragement. i think i just gave into the pressure to know the outcome of my IUI hence tested earlier.

you asked me to wait till 16 days after IUI to take a HPT which will be 6th july 09. but my AF due date is 10th july. is there still a possibility of +tive HPT if i miss my AF date or the results after 16 days of IUI are more or less final.
still 8 days to go for my AF seems such a long time.

i forgot to mention about the food restriction dr. adviced me after my iui.i think it is applicable for all those who are trying to conceive,
dates, pinapple,pappaya,crab,prawn,beef,mutton,mango,soya etc.
hope this will help you.
my dr. adviced me to do HPT after 18 days.
congrats to those who conceived this month. praying to god for a healthy pregnancy and healthy delivery for all of you.

i want to know when u saw ur baby first i mean on how many wwk u able to see the baby sac in ur ultrasound.can u plz lek me know .
i m pregnanat my bhcg count is going great on 6th day after missed period it is 12000 something,but dr cant see the baby.
ya the time is less.but it is also said that above 6000 u can see the baby sac
i m little tensed
