IL Valentine! - Contest for February 2009

Hi ladies,

Though I personally don't know anybody in this forum, the comments and responses portray the kind of person they are . When your PM doesn't evoke any response [ be it a warm New Year wish ] -- this lack of basic courtesy from some of the 'populars' & 'favourites' does change your opinion about them.

Also considering their inter-action over a length of time and not just in a specific area or category, my vote automatically goes to Shanvy only !!

I cannot think of anyone else who immediately responds to who ever posts a query [ even new members ; even those who don't acknowledge her earlier assistance ] ; who goes the extra mile to gather information for a particular need ; who is so full of positivity and is very sincere -- If you PM her with any of your doubt/ query you can be absolutely certain she will do her best to assist you. If she doesn't know, she will say so and not just 'pretend' ; she doesn't say or write anything just to maintain any 'image' ... she is completely her true self.

Her family is incredibly blessed to be with such a lovely hearted person --- she in my opinion, deserves to be the Valentine of the IL family too.

Nice contest .
Though I have been a silent observer for long.. I wanted to make use of this opportunity to thank " Shanvy" for her clear and explicit posts in real estate section. I used her posts as a reference when we decided to purchase our flat a year back.

IL Valentine contest is going to be ending soon - Feb 28th, 3 more days to go!!

We have received ONLY 69 nominations till now.

Common ladies...we are a 38,000+ members community and we have 5,50,000+ posts contributed by all of you in total.

Is it fair to have this less nominations in such a big community??? Are there not many friends here whom we feel great to have known? Have we not found them to be really helpful, friendly and simply awesome??!!

Do some soul searching, come up with the best among whom you like and rush in your nominations in the next 3 days.

In fact, when one of the IL'ites suggested to close this contest by Feb 13th and announce the IL Valentine on Feb 14th, I responded we want to leave it open to get more nominations coming in by having it open for a longer time. But I'm a little disappointed seeing this less nominations!!

Do not stay away from nominating thinking you will upset other friends by nominating one friend. No one is going to think you were partial. In fact, if you do not nominate, you may be doing injustice to all your great friends here in IL!!

Rush in your entries...sooner...faster...hurry up!!
