My Mamiji told me shlok when I was in hostel,I was very ill.And that year I got 2 times fever and 3 times cold.So she suggested me following shlok.

Omkaar Bindusanyukt nityam dhyayanti yogin:|
Kaamdam mokshad chaiv omkaray namo namah:||

Keep Chanting Shloks

You can also chant this Dhanvanthri Shlokam. I am also having lot of health problems. I am chanting this daily.

Om namo bhagavathe vasudevaya dhanvanthraye amrudha kalasa hasthaya sarva aamaya vinasanaya thrailogiya nathaya sri mahavishnava namaha

You can chant this whenever you have time.

I will also pray for your good health.

She has given the slokas and pooja details for Lord Ganesha.

She has given both in English and Tamil. You can start reciting this.

Plaintain leaf and rice
One thali
Ghani
coconut
banana
haldi,kumkum,akshata,flowers and fruits.
panchamrita(honey, milk ghee,curd,sugar)
deepak and batti
agarbatti
dakshina
modak ke laddoo

 

Where Do u keep Pooja Ghar ?

Hi frds,
here is 1 more question
I am planning in guest room my husband says Kitchen...But we dont have space in kitchen and the place he says is just next to walkway...i dont want that as pooja ghar at will be on ground ..as in vastu u should not keep god at heights...1 feet abouve ground is ok..as we can sit on ground and do pooja then...but if in any case or in hurry someone's feet can get touch to pooja ghar by mistake which i dont want...so need to know what u have done or will do

[ my 2 cents ] actually the idols of God should be at some height . At least at 1&1/2 feet
height . A room at North East is the ideal place . NE corner of the kitchen can be also used .

in general , the idols face West direction and we face East to do the Puja .

And it is suggested that curtains should be used so that guests do not see the idols !
