As I reside at Chennai, I am interested to know about the temples of Chennai.

 

I do visit the following temples.

1. Bhuvaneswari Amman Temple in Adambakkam
2. Anjaneyar Temple at Nanganallur
3. Prithyankira Devi Temple in Sholinganallur
4. Anjaneyar Temple at Velacherry

Have you been to Devi Karumariamman Temple?

She is a varaprasaadhi- according to me whatever I ask for she does for us.

Excellent vibrations there.

Go early morning or after 8.30 night and the temple is free and peaceful.

I am a regular at devi bhuvaneswari.

have you visited, shanthi durgai (ardhanaareswari temple) must on sunday rahu kaalam. she looks so divine.

karumariamman in thillai ganga nagar is also equally powerful.

vembuli amman, near pazhavanthangal subway (people visit this temple to appease ambal..chicken pox and things)

ayyappan temple in madipakkam is so pious, and the devi sannathi there is also so vibrating.

I visit the following temples regularly , feel good whenever I visit these temples

I
Bala Vinayahar Temple in Warren Road, Alwarepet. Visit this temple almost everyday. Vinayahar is the main deity. You have muruga, Durga, Hanuman and Navagraha sannidhis. Priests are from Trichy , well learned. Pooja/Abishekam done to Lord Vinayahar, I don't have words to explain. Someone was telling me the other day, This ganesha is called 'Oru roobai vinayahar' ( One Rupee ). It seems, You pray to this Vinayahar and offer one Rupee , Vinayahar will satisfy your wish.

More than all , I feel this vinayahar is there to clear all our obstacles ( for that matter vinayahar in any temple )

Navrathri function is one of the best in this temple, leading carnatic musicians perform in this temple.


II) VEERA Anjaneya Temple in Mandaiveli mosque street. Another temple which I visit regularly atleast weekly once. Main deity is Veera anjaneya. Sannidhi for Rama is there. The main praharam is surrounded by various forms of Anjaneya Shanthi Anjaneya, Pancha muga Anchaneya and Veera Anjaneya.

Suggest people who visit this temple and do 9 pradakshinams.


III ) Marudeeswarar temple in Tiruvanmiyur . What Can I say. One of the most peaceful temple. I visited this saturday also. 2500 years old temple with so much space to do pradakshinam. Very powerful Iswarar in this temple. Sitting in this temple for few minutes under one of the trees gives a great feeling.


IV ) Agasthiyar Temple - T.nagar - used to visit this temple frequently. Well maintained and clean temple. All the priests here are well learned and knowledgable. Murugar sannidhi and Lakshmi narayanar sannidhi and Navagraha sannidhi is one of the Best

As you talk about the temples nearby Nanganallur and Madipakkam, do you stay nearby Adambakkam or Nanganallur?
