I enjoyed reading this response .
Dante made his point superbly. Thanks for this info.
I agree. God makes man. Taylor makes gentleman. But then who creates religion and who formulated it’s dressing code.

Yes Sabitha why girls? It is because only girls wear Hijab and also in a patriarchial society girls have been raised to be more vulnerable than boys. Yes the catchjword is "respect". Let us respect their dress code but in this case the question arises what when two dress codes clash or rather, deliberately made tio clash by vested interests? Like the school uniform and dress codefuture of the girls over a scarf/ prescribed by religious diktats It is infuriating that people are playing with the education and future of these girls using a scarf as an excuse.

Churches do hasve a ki9nd of atmosphere where you feel peace when there is silence and when the choir sings. I should know. I spent few months in a monastery in Italy. well at leasr in theirt guest house. Every Sunday I religiously attended the Church, not to listen to the sermon but to the music.

Can you backup your known fact with data like this ?

The National Crime Records Bureau publishes an annual "Crime in India" report. In its 2018 report, it lists 42,793 cases — meaning a Dalit was a target of crime, on average, every 15 minutes.

They’re Hindu too but still feel at the bottom of India’s social ladder

The genocide suffered by the Hindus of India at the hands of Arab, Turkish, Mughal and Afghan occupying forces for a period of 800 years
Bahmani sultans in central India (1347-1528) killed a hundred thousand hindus every year.
    List goes on
The persecution of kashmiri pundits. Forced to flee from their own houses.

The rule of British. All Indians were slaves at that time.

But we will keep talking only about the caste system that prevailed even before all these.
From 1947 ,all dalits have been given reservations in education and jobs in a bid to compensate for the atrocities on their forefathers.

You could have gone little further and could have started with the beginning of human mankind and listed the atrocities, so you mentioned Hindus, is that just Brahmin Hindus of all Hindus?

Brahmin is the highest Varna in Vedic Hinduism. The population of India that is considered a member of the Brahmin caste according to the article “The Joshua project” is about 60,481,000 people. That's approximately 4.3 percent of the total Indian population.Nov 25, 2015

The Caste System (Brahmin and Kshatriya) – Religion 100Q: Hinduism Project.

It will take hundreds of years with the current state of progress with reservation

This should not have happened. It scares me as to what our children are learning from these. We as children grew up with the concept of all religions are equal and we respect all of them. We lived together in the neighbourhood. The latest developements and students being the puppets of the unknown hands are going waybeyond. Its a very sad state to be in.

What makes you say with certainty that it does not? I went to a convent school, we were not allowed to wear bindi, earring size was specified, no chains, no bangles, no holy thread, no mehndi, nothing. Not complaining, just a statement of facts. If you want to go to a convent, you follow the rules, otherwise go to a school where you don't have these restrictions. They went to schools run by Hindu missionaries, probably.

A school is a place where you want children to rise above their differences - economical, religious ... whatever. Why would anyone want to accentuate religious differences through different ways of dressing?

Besides it is now being shown that this is all an unfortunate fight started by vested political interests and the final agenda is to subjugate women either by forcing them to do stuff against their wishes while convincing them that that is what is their own wish.
