This story was horrifying, Women on Qatar Airways Flight Strip-Searched, Sparking Outrage in Australia

Please do not blame the victims. It can happen under God knows what circumstances. The women were unable to say "No"

How do prevent this? What are our rights? Or should women never travel anywhere.

We complain about H, MIL, DIL, SIL, PIL, Crazy Neighbors and Dogs ----- but what about these type of issues. What circumstances where these women afraid to say "NO".

    Really upset by this!

This is a terrible incident. I won’t be flying through any of the Gulf states again.

Please google, see images, and find out about full body scanners at the airports of the west. We stand naked as a fuzzy white image. In a country with 30% suffering from obesity, and another 50% well outside the range for body-beautiful, looking at the screen for prohibited items over and over is sheer chinese torture for the beholder.
    Indeed; it is.
Calvin Trillin (American journalist, humorist, food writer, poet, memoirist and novelist) commented on a talkshow about how/why we were all required to take-off our shoes at the airport security after someone hid plastic explosives in his shoe, then went on (with a devilish twinkle in his eye) to say that the next clever guy is going to hide some plastic in his underwear. Sure enough... a few months after Calvin T came on TV and said that, there was a guy with the stuff in his underwear.

They are portraying it as done for the safety and well-being of the mother. As in, they wanted to make sure she got the care she needed. How typical of the region! Frame the most draconian laws and measures as being followed for the welfare and betterment of women. Sheesh!

Thankfully, a few from those women passengers, exchanged WhatsApp numbers and the matter finally became public. The incident happened on October 2nd!

I feel so bad for the women. Having to go through the experience in Covid time when we try our best to avoid touching surfaces that need not be touched. To have to lie down on a bed or exam table in some random place in the airport!

The women should join together and file a lawsuit against the airline. It was a gross, idiotic violation of privacy not to mention dangerous as it was conducted without consent or proper sanitary precautions.

Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne has revealed women on 10 different aircraft at a Doha airport were subjected to invasive internal examinations by Qatari authorities this month. <link: quote origin>
The above information shows that the abandoned baby in the bathroom excuse for the invasive medical exam is just one example.

Strip/cavity searches are usually not well publicized. Most often these involve searches for contraband. Drug sniffing dogs having off days at work. See the last few minutes of this video interview:

The 4th Amendment right (protection against unreasonable searches) does not exist in those places. For Border patrol, operating close to a physical border of the USA, the bill of rights may be irrelevant. The Constitution in the 100-Mile Border Zone

While majority of public concerned about this invasive search of women passengers of the flight, none could say anything about the status of the infant baby in the care of airport lounge toilet. Who has taken custody of the justborn and what happened to the investigation by concerned authorities to trace and apprehend the mother. Any tell tale sign left by the person(s) left the justborn in the toilet.

It is appalling , In India too, in deep southern villages and even in some urban government hospitals justborns either abandoned in nearest dustbins or poisoned with juice of certain plants especially the girl infant.

If the authorities had spent their efforts in tracing the events surrounding the newborn instead of humiliating and harassing innocent women passengers then the focus would have been on that story.
