Nope They want parent contributions in kids academics. If mother is not working she can help kid to do and then lesser the kids dependency on school.
Hi All Mothers, Yesterday at DPS Sharjah, our kid was taken inside and after a while she came out happily because she had a lollipop. In 5 minutes we were called inside. 2 Teachers (I guess..) one smiled and replied to my good afternoon, the other teacher gave me that grave look..anyway I just ignored. Since we both are working..they asked : - Who looks after kid? (Our Friend)+ since my job is from 7AM - 2 PM I said that I get more time to spend with her. -Is she attending Pre school? - Her Eating Habits? - Was she fussy to go to nursery ? - Reading is important, what will you do as a parent ? - Is she Clingy ? That's it... Sincere thanks a to all in the group for giving a idea on what to expect..

Hi, I heard mixed reviews initially esp cos the fees is very high...I did hear good reviews abt GEMS Mill like any other GEMS school. It would be better if we get reviews from last year parents who got in there For me it would the last option frankly...
Kg2 - Grade 5 Admissions will open midnight in DPS Sharjah...Interested Parents please spread the news
Thank you @tummykitten for the detailed reply. How's that guaranteed? If the mother is not well educated or has some other issues and is unable to work then how can she help the child? And what is this level of dependence on school?? We send children to school for overall development not for the school to share our dependencies. Now that they know a mom is SAHM, will they concentrate less on that kid and more on the one who's mom is working? Since this SAHM's kid is less dependent on school, will they reduce the fees also? Honestly I don't get this correlation between the mom's occupation and the child's admission. Just don't feel it's right on the schools part to relate these 2 things. Sorry for hijacking the thread. Best wishes to all the kids on their admissions
