Its 08-08-08 and 08:08 The Beijing Olympics 2008 started with thunder drums..

Hi eveybody, any body want to take the tour of Beijing Olympics 2008 with me ?? Lets join here..

08:00p.m 10,500 worlds greatest athlets along with 90,000+ Spectators present in Birds Nest Stadium, Beiling. Slowly the sound of Fou drums(musical instrument of ancient China that was discovered in a tomb dating to 496 BC)started, As the hour approaches, the surface of the drums lights up with the countdown. (see Picture-1)

08:08 p.m The opening ceremony staterd with a bang -- the stadium rim awash in an explosion of fireworks and with the message displaying aroung the stadium as "welcome Friends" . 2,008 drummers continue their performance, culminating in a passage from Confucius that translates to "Friends have come from afar, how happy we are." (see picture-2, picture-3 picture-4).

Twenty Nine Burning Foot Prints: Beginning 6 miles away at Tiananmen Square, fireworks explode in the shape of giant footprints, marching the distance toward the stadium. This is said to signify the path of history, arriving at the 29th Olympiad. When the last footprint reaches the Bird's Nest, a meteor shower of pyrotechnics rained down on the field.

Now its time for Dream Rings: The apsaras(female angels) flying all over the stadium, the lights formed in the shape of rings slowly they rised for the floor and the apsaras flyed along olympic rings all over the stadium.(see picture-5)

Now comes the visual Feast, all the performances from now on started on the LED Floor, which is 230 feet long by 70 feet wide and later extends to 480 feet.(see picture-6)

They started a telecast on the screen which explains us how in the ancient days they used to paint on the paper when it is in the middle lights glowed on the LED floor and nearly 12 to 15 modern dancers painted with thier bodies on the paper according the music. thats really wonderful.(See picture-7)

When the modern dancers finished their painting the paper has been lifted and the painting contains mountains with birds flying and water flowing on the mountains..

They are followed by nearly 800 disciples dreesed in traditional way holding bamboo scrolls, which are used as books before dinscovering the paper( see picture- 8 ). They danced rythmically to show how those bamboo scrolls used for reading and writing(see picture-9, picture-10).

Now comes the Building blocks dance.. this is just wonderful (see picture-11). The young mens under the blocks moved them according to the music, which is really great job, needs lot of practice and memory power. see picture-12 for those young men under the bulding blocks.
