Thank you dear.. Had my scan at 18 weeks and everything seems normal. We might need to take fetal cardio-echo after 22 weeks to check the complete functioning of baby's heart. Diagnosed with GD and hence in diet (however coudnt control sweet intake).. Rest in God's hands..

I have few doubts. I know I am supposed to have got them clarified with my Doc, but I was tensed as always so couldn't ask her.

I am in my 17th week. (17.5) I had been for my monthly check up today. She checked the baby's heart beat and said it's good. And I have gained 2 pounds and that is also fine.

She has asked me to go for a Anatomy scan in my 19th - 20th week.
My doubt is - Is anatomy scan and NT scan the same? Is it the one that covers the entire detail of the baby's growth ?

Also my doctor has asked me to go for AFP blood test. I am not sure what is it about. any idea ladies?

NT scan and anatomy scan is different.
In anatomy scan they measure the baby organs completely.
Anatomy scan gives the complete info of baby development. This scan will take nearly 40 to 45 mins.Usually anatomy scan performs between 18 weeks to 22 weeks.

In NT scan they measures only thickness of liquid at the neck of the baby.

Afp is a common blood test in Pregancy.
It combined with another tests also.
It is a gentical analysis test.
It will determine the risk of chromosomal abnormalities in baby.

These all scans and tests are common in Pregancy.

Hello ladies,

Right now am in 19th week. Anyone started to get bump and feeling the movement. I got very little bump and eagerly waiting to feel the movements.
Just want to know whether movements will only start after 20 weeks.

I too got a little bump. In my 18th week end now. I had a slight feeling of some movement or more like pop corn popping right in the lower tummy, but not sure if its the lil one's movement.

I am also eagerly waiting to feel the movement. Many say, if its the first kid then for both bump to show up and for the movements it takes time.

Good luck for your anatomy scan. Mine is in 2nd week of June.

Hi All,

I am in my second trimester - 19th week.
I am having a lot of White discharge but there is no foul smell or any color change.

Is it very common ? I know that white discharge is usually when the vagina cleans itself.
But it's suddenly more than usual.

Please tell me if it is or was same for others too.
