Visa Transfer From H1B to H4

    Ladies,

    Trying to understand a process. I'm looking to move from H1B to H4 under my husband's visa. His 140 got approved and I can work in H4 EAD.

    My question is, can I transfer from H1B to H4 EAD without taking break from work?

    Can I apply for H4 as well as EAD together?

    How long does it take to get both H4 as well as EAD?

    Do they typically come together or separate?

    My husband's H1B expires in 10 months. Do I have to stop working if my husband's visa expired after he filed for renewal? (He can work legally since he already applied for renewal)

    Hi,
    Once you do change of status application and it get approved to H4, then you cannot work till you get EAD. You have to maintain your H4 status.
    As of now the H-1 to H4 and H4 to EAD is getting processed within a few days.
