Next day we woke up and had a quick break fast and started our journey towards Leh. We had a flat tyre fir the second time in the trip before Pang and hence had to wait for 3 hours for our driver to go to the nearest village and fix it. Once he was back we took a break in Pang for lunch. then we further continued our journey to Leh. We reached Leh around 8 PM which was quite late as we wasted 3 hours to fix the flat tyre. We reached our hotel, finished dinner and our local tour co-ordinator for Leh met us and briefed us about the next trips 1.Enroute Sarchu-Leh 2. Roads we crossed 3. Canyon formations before Pang

Day 1: Its very important to acclimatize after reaching Leh, as the oxygen level is quite thin and its important for the body to adjust to the atmosphere. So our first day in Leh was to acclimatize and not to exert our selves. We had a relaxed day. We went to Shanti stupa, Leh palace and hall of fame and just walked through the Leh market. Shanti stupa was built by Japanese and Ladakhi Buddhists whose intention was to build peace pagodas all over the world. 1. The palace had 9 floor. Cuurently the palace has a museum which displays Ladakhi jewellery costumes and also records and paintings which is really interesting to go through. [/FONT] 5.
