    Oh yes Shantana, Your name reminds me of Shantanu, despite of having big heads in the production and ARR music, the expectation because of his father's fame, Sakkarakatti was a major flop. Still he couldn't give a decent movie let alone a hit. Same goes to his sister Saranya Bhagyaraj, after first movie she just disappeared.

    When 'Thulluvadho Ilamai' was released I read a snippet from Vaaramalar which said Sherin raised to a highly sought after actress after her debut movie, while Dhanush didn't have any offer. The situation changed very soon after his brother gave him a hand. Now Sherin disappeared, Dhanush was recognized internationally..

    Actor SURESH first movie the movie was a super hit. Was one of the popular hero in the 80's. The ending of the movie was just opposite to Alaigal Ooivathillai movie, though both were released around the same time. The surprising news was he was given offers in both the movies, his father suggested him to go for PP as it was offered to him first.
    I like PP very much because of the storyline and the songs. while AO corrupted many teenage minds that time .PP movie had a sensible ending, and Pratap Pothen acted well as their teacher and perfectly fit for that role.

    Another heroine's impressive debut. Suhasini Manirathnam introduced by director Mahandran. Suhasini won the best actress award from the Tamilnadu State Film Awards.

    By the way, didn't Avinash act as Jyothika's father in Thirumalai before acting in Chandramukhi? And I remember watching Vinaya Prasad in a Pandiyarajan's film, co-starring Oorvashi. She was also the actress who originally played Nayanthara's role in the original Chandramukhi (Manichitratazhu in Malayalam)

    True, but somehow Shanthanu is not giving up I think. Although he never had a decent hit thus far, he's still trying to be on news by getting himself linked to other washed out/unknown celebrities! The things they do for fame shakehead
