Peanut chutney / fresh coconut chutney --- main chutneys for Common South Indian Breakies like idli / dosa / vada accompanied by sambhar or some grounded spices. What are your chutneys generally made of,apart from peanuts/coconut? What variations do you bring in these?

Bell Pepper chutneyOnion 1Tomato 1Bell Pepper (preferably red) 1Chana Dal - 1 tbspGreen Chillies - 2 or 3 depending on spicinessCoriander - 1 tbspOil SaltHeat oil. Add chana dal. Allow it to saute for 30 seconds or so. Add green chillies. Add chopped onions and bell pepper. Cover and cook over low heat until bell pepper has just been cooked. Add tomatoes and coriander. Allow it to saute for 2 minutes. Add salt. Grind in mixer when mixture has cooled. For other chutneys: Replace bell pepper with radish/pumpkin/purple cabbage/apple etc.
Onion and Tomato Chutney... Saute Urud dhal(Hand full) in oil..Once sauted add 3-4 red chilliness (as per the spice needed). Once roasted add chopped garlic pods(3-4) chopped onion(3-4) , a small piece of tamarind (seedless) and saute the same..One the onion is sauted add tomaoes(sliiced 2). Once all these are sauted grind the same in to a paste after adding salt. Add one table spoon of lemon ..
