Diwali Lantern ny me - Say some thing :)

Thank you all for your compliments and creative suggestions.As Karthiga requested to share the procedure, I have tried to demonstrate with help of a construction paper.The measurements that yo see in the pic is exactly what I had.You can divide your paper according to the size.

Step1 : Imade the following separately so that I can put evenly design on the paper.You can make of your own choice too...



Step 2 : I had card sheet of 28 inch*22 inches and I divided the same way you can see in the following pic


Step 3 : After that put your design, make the carving.Then take out one of the two '1 inch' margins as shown in the following pic and fold the paper and remaining '1 inch' margin will properly be stuck to on of the sides malin it a perfect square.Ifyou do not want that, just roll and staple it.It would be a nice cylindrical lantern.No measurements at all
And yes not to forget the suggestion by Yashikhushi,if you wish you can definitely make another dimension
