RIP Tarla Dalal. You will be missed.

Dear All,

One of the most well-knowned and beloved chef of our country, Tarla Dalal, passed away today. She was one of my personal favorite, for specializing in vegetarian cooking and healthy recipes. And also for being such a lovely teacher, always smiling, telling us her tips and secrets in such a loving and sweet manner. She will be remembered through her immortal work for years to come, no doubt.

Lets remember her by sharing our favorite recipes by Tarla Dalal that has become an all time favorite in our household.

she was my first cooking teacher too! I was a paid member and I used to try out new recipes everyday. Back then, a friend borrowed our laptop for a few days and I just couldn't cook on those days since I knew that little! Plus back then, I just didn't feel comfortable enough with any other recipe sites. I have a bunch of her books at home.

My favourite recipe is stuffed chilas. Just so simple, yet so yummy. Also her paneer tikka pulao is always a show stopper. The tomato kadi was such a treat. And making her potato Chole gassi, Would mean I'd eat rice for two people and then just slurp the gravy by itself once I'm stuffed full of rice.

there are loads of lovely cookery websites these days. Yet Tarla Dalal's recipes are most special to me.
