May Maa and Baba bless us all, Thanks Sarasprabhu Sister for the thread and Thanks to coolrdr Sister for the information and your efforts to visit the temple for authenticity of the details posted.
Sarasprabhu because of you I came to know about Samayapuram MariAmman's leelai. Thanks Saras, coldrdr and SaiSakthi sister.
Is there any ritual followed by women in the month of Aadi for Samayapuram Amman. Would like to know coz i have visited this temple 4-5 times and i feel soo much of divine power there.
Hi Rajjo, Aadi month is very auspicious for goddess parvathi. During this month, what I follow is given I am a stauch devotee of Samayapuram mariamman and woraiyur vekkaliamman... -> I avoid non vegetarian food at all in teh entire month and recite slokams of amman every day.. -> On friday and if possible on tuesday I do pooja at home, take manjal thanni(water mixed with turmeric) in a kalash and keep a bunch of neem leaves in it place it in front of amman photo. I prepare neivedhyam of panagam(made of jaggery), thullu mavu, kanji, neer more. Also I light maa vilaku ( deepam made of rice flour). -> after finishing my pooja, I spray the turmeric water all around my house, this is like asking goddess mother to protect my family, from physical and non physical forces. -> In the evening if time permits I visit a amman temple and light lamp there and do archanai. If I have office in teh evening, I go to the temple in the morning and then do pooja at home. Thanks Malar
