I wanted to ask you about jobs in IT as you mentioned in an earlier post that you were working in that industry. Could you please share with me some tips on getting an IT job here. I have around 5 years of experience in software development and came here in January. I have tried applying for jobs through Seek n all but the process seems to be slow... well.. at least it isint working for me right now. What about you ? Which company are you working for ? Hoping for a reply soon. Thanks !

Thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately, I couldn't read any messages. Well, I think the trick is if you have a qualification here it makes it much easier. I did a Bachelors in India worked for a while and came here to do Masters. It also takes a while for your search to end considering that you just came here in January .. I applied to loads of jobs too but, then started with telstra and now I work in IT support for a college..

You will get there; just be patient and if you have a Permanent Residency try seeing a Recruitment Agency.. it doesn't hurt to try
