You feel confident with a great sparkling smile, isn’t it? However, due to erratic habits, stains can make a smile look dull. Here are ways to prevent teeth stains.

Get rid of minor stains by chewing on apple, carrots, pears and celery. These foods produce more saliva, which removes the debris on the teeth.

Avoid foods that can cause teeth stains such as coffee, cola and fruit juices. Sport drinks, sweets, berries and tea can also cause teeth stains. The deep color of these foods can leave color on the teeth. Sip your beverage with straw, which will prevent the contact of the offending food item with teeth.

If you do consume stain-causing foods, chew the food and swallow promptly. Never retain foods in your mouth for a long time. This helps to protect teeth against stains.

It is always advisable to brush your teeth after you eat or drink something. However, it may not always be convenient to brush the teeth. Simply drink a glass of water and you can brush later after you consume an acidic drink or food.

Indulge in tooth-safe foods such as plain water, sugar-free drinks, fish, flaxseeds, dairy products and citrus fruits for brighter teeth.

to few drops of lemon juice mix in a pinch of salt and apply that on teeth using finger. gargle well. this will also help whiten the teeth.

Cut strawberries in half and rub on teeth for few mins. Rinse it nicely so that acids will wash away. It helps to whiten the teeth within a week or 2.

Remove tea stains by brushing with soda bi-carb instead of toothpaste occasionally. Put some dry soda bi-carb in alittle dish and dip a wet tooth brush into it and then brush normally.
