Hi AnuShiv, Thanks for the info. I was just a little curious to know the rough estimation for the things mentioned, in indian currency. Just the bare minimum and simple stuff, something close to indian style. I will be glad if you can throw some light on this. Thanks PoorniDaya
Hi again poorni, well, Products are available in different variety & in brands. If you look for Japanese or European ones..they are slightly expensive (but good quality) wheares Chinese & korean brands are available in pleanty at a lesser price. It's all up to individual choice & preferance ( according to budget) for example washing machine can cost from $250-$1000/- ( $1 SGD = Rs 27/-) similarly TV, Fridge etc. The price ranges from $300-$1200/-) For furniture & other home appaliance look into the following websites for a better picture. www.coats.com.sg IKEA Redirect By the way, you've mention 'new house', have you bought an apartment or you are shifting to new rented place? in case if you're going for a rented one...first go for for a fully furnished apartment & later on slowly you can buy your appliances.Thats what many of us do over here..
I think the range in Courts is getting more trendier this days. IKEA Is alright in terms of bedding and other electronic stuff. But if you are looking into more beautiful furniture..you may want to try places like Barang Barang, wooden furnitures,, in Tanglin Mall, Or even Wihardja ,they have Indonesian Furnitures..very authentic and reasonable priced. Home Wihardja Barang Barang Pte Ltd anyways have you found a place to stay ?? arty
Hello AnuShiv, Thanks for the input. We've purchased a resale 4 room hdb. Since we would need the basic furniture and applicances I thought I do a little search so that we wont have to be without it for long. Thanks again Poornima
hello pornima, if u dont mind can i ask how much did the house cost. thanks we too thinking of the same. himani
Where to buy Pinto beans? I would like to know a place in singapore to buy pinto beans. I usually buy tinned refried beans from Cold storage for burritos, but as they are expensive and not healthy to eat tinned products, I would like to know place selling pinto beans. Thanks.
Re: Where to buy Pinto beans? lol what i s PINTO beans.. i never heard of it... anyway I did a search ..try this :: Organic Online Global Shopping
Re: Where to buy Pinto beans? Hi Lily07 Try carrefour (suntec city/plaza singapura) they have wide range of fresh and dried goods. You may also want to look @ the NTUC hypermarkets in selected places like Hougang, Ang Mo Kio etc. If you happen to live in the east, then try the NTUC in Bedok Central, the upstairs have also good range of imported varieties. Try the Tang's Market place (I am sure you will get it here). It is in the basement @Tang's Orchard. Best of Luck.
