Moving to CT / NY

    Hi All,
    We are moving to CT / NY area. My husband will be working in Purchase NY. SO we are looking for apartments/houses in NY or CT with good school districts . We have two children. Can anybody direct us to cities/counties that will be affordable and with good school districts? We would also like a good indian community. Is Stamford a good place? I didn't see very good reviews about the schools there. Any help is appreciated.

    I don't know where exactly your husband in NY will be working ,but as I am in CT for 11 years I can say schools are great in Ridgefield, Greenwich, Newtown, Westport, New Canaan, Weston but on the other side these areas are really expensive.

    Hello!
    Thanks for your input. My husband will be working in Purchase, NY. Are any of these places you mentioned a fairly easy drive to Purchase? Do you recommend any particular elementary schools or school districts in the area? Also, any good apartment complexes (with indians hopefully) will help. We do plan to look for single family homes or may continue in the apartment itself. Do you know any apartments in Stamford which are in good school districts? Sorry for so many questions but we are trying to start somewhere. Thanks a bunch.
