    DNM,
The pink and blue - nice marketing ploy by US Retailers & Corporations
And, guess what? Its spread to India now. My nephews and nieces in India wont touch the wrong color with a 10 foot pole :idontgetit:

Hey, its such a wonderful thread....

I had a tough labor followed by an emergency C-Section. I could hold my baby boy only on the third day after delivery, my mother gave him to me and for few seconds my mind just went blank, I kept staring at the wonderful gift god has given our family. Then I was overcome with several emotions and more than anything there was a great sense of relief and resposibility...

    Ice,
You are like me, before I was married I used to be the unofficial gang leader and caretaker for the kutties in the area I lived in. May you be blesed!
Holding your baby for the first time is a experience that stays with you all your life!! Both my DD's gave me that feeling, How to name it?? Awesome and exhilarated state, will come close I think!

Ishwarya, its a remarkable wonderful feeling couldnt be expressed in words.
we will be happy as well as emotional. but we will not cry or jump with happiness, u know. we feel like we are in air. Just expressed how i felt.

Its the most wonderful moment in my life. I was very emotional when i heard my LO cry and i burst into tears with happiness when they said its a girl baby. When i held her for the first time i felt am the only mother exists in this world. Felt blessed. Feels very proud to be a mother.
