    Dear Saras,
Same pinch - the same is happening to me right now with Bengali kichdi!! I should nott have done it on the same day with khatta dhokla!
    Both are my favourites today!:)
Let me tell you - I am an eqally crazy fan of kabuli channa & green grams.
That is an authentic Punjabi style dish!!
    Thanks & love,
    C

    chithmam,

shifted into new home last week. so everything in a mess with woodwork, painting and lot of other construction activity going on.

i had picked a pack of horsegram last month and was waiting to do the podi and rasam..

but i ended up making the horsegram thogaiyal, real yummy, and looks it will be a repeat at home, i am always looking for chutneys without coconut and this fits the bill so well. the horsegram podi is tasting good. now one more podi that can go with rice. the only thing is it needs lot of patience to roast it on a slow flame..and the aroma made me crave for pori kollu have you given the recipe here..

Another repeat is the orange peel vathalkuzhambu. (Wanted to add the link) but could not trace it out.

waiting to do the new parathas and the kitchidi. ram kitchidi is for lunch one of these days..the kids will have holidays from tommorrow. so a fb from me is sure for that.

Yesterday dinner was Easy vegetable Pulao and dum aloo. Both are easy to make(except for peeling of baby potatoes:hide:) & tasty dishes & the dinner was very enjoyable.DS loved the 'Damaal'(dum aloo) very much, so its worth all the effort. Thanks for a lovely dinner.

    Dear Damini,
You said it right! When buying, I select tiny alus so that the flavour & taste will permeate inside well - but when peeling, it looks a thankless job! :-(
    Thanks & love,
    C
