Where can I do Laser hair removal for underarms in Chennai?

Has anyone tried it?

I usually wax my armpits. But I would like to go for a permanent hair removal.

I have done laser for chin at Kaya. The results were quite satisfactory. The only thing is Kaya is bit costly.

I have a few questions.

1) How painful is the process? The reason I'm asking this is because my mind is still not ready for it. Because though all websites claim that the pain is bearable. I think its not true. Because which each session they keep increasing the heat and I found the pain dreadful when I took laser for chin. I guess this would be even more painful because the underarms hair is thicker than chin indeed.

2) How many sessions will be needed?

3) How much does it cost totally?

4) Where did you do in chennai?

5) Please share your experience.

dont go for laser it may affect your skin later

Dear Sruthi,
My opinion is not to go for laser. tsk Sure It'll have some side effects, if not now will show later. Better go for waxing. Even if its painful, it wont have any side effects.
As for as Laser, If i'm right It'll penetrate the skin and therein burns the hair follicles. Exposing our skin to radiations is not good. If its good then why should we go for sunscreens to prevent our skin from UV radiations.
Laser beams are used to cut strong metal sheets. Have you ever seen that?
:yes: :iagree they use milder radiations for skin but then it'll have some side effects.

Try Dr. Shobana who operates from Harley Clinic in chennai at T.Nagar (Habibullah Road). She is a well known dermatologist who is experienced in this. Pl. google for her address and contact details.

Her clinic for treatment runs on Wednesday and Saturday and consultation is every day in the evenings. Only disadvantage is that the waiting time is v.long.

I am posting this subsequent reply for the benefit of those who may be looking for such info.
Dr. Priya Mohan is also a good dermatologist who came recommended to me. I have consulted her regarding my skin. She also has a partner for laser and she has been sending her clients to this person for 8 years or so. Her own sister has had laser done by this person so it should be safe.
The machine used has the ND YG laser which apparently is v.safe for Indian skins. What the doc told me is that only the hair absorbs the laser beams and not the skin so there is no danger of laser burns.
